SUMMER MUSIC EXPERIENCE

Rock to the Future summer programs help students to learn, grow, and rock. Music education is a critical part of growing up, and our programs help students build the skills they need to succeed on and off stage.

Students will spend two days a week learning and creating music with new friends and experienced mentors.

  • No cost for Philadelphia youth
  • Both camps are six weeks, Tuesday & Thursday 7/1/21 - 8/6/21
  • Grades 6 - 8 attend 9am - 12pm and grades 9 - 12 attend 12:15pm - 3:15pm
  • Family and friends are invited to the final performance, Friday 8/6/21
  • Transportation passes are available

Both camps are co-ed with no experience necessary (beginner to advanced students are welcome!) and all equipment is provided.

Rock to the Future believes that music education should be available for every student no matter their age, ability, or address. Programs are provided at no cost for Philadelphia-area students.

WHAT DOES MUSIC EXPERIENCE INCLUDE?

Music Production: Learn the basics of using multitracking music software through GarageBand. Create tracks, loops and write an original song by the end of the summer.

Band Art: Explore techniques to create art, both physical (painting, collage) and digital (Canva, graphic design). Explore how music and art are connected and create art around the music you create.

Singer Songwriters: Practice vocal techniques and explore lyrics as you write your own songs, using the music tracks you create in music production class.

Space is limited. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Register by June 25th! Contact Info@RocktotheFuture.org or call 215-302-9633 if you have questions or need help.
